2. Scope of application: Various insect eggs and cysts that can be floated in saturated saline solution.

3. Method (for reference only):

Take 2 grams of feces, put them into a beaker, add 5ml of water first, stir and mix well,

Add saturated saline to 60ml, mix well, filter through a copper sieve, and extract the fecal liquid,

Inject into the counting chamber of the McMaster counter and let it stand for 5 minutes,

Count the number of eggs (EPG) or cysts (OPG) in two calibration chambers under a microscope.

4. Result calculation (formula reference):

The average number of eggs A in two counting rooms multiplied by 200 is the number of eggs or cysts per gram of feces.

Calculate the number of EPG or OPG eggs per gram of feces according to the following formula:

EPG/OPG=(n1+n2)/2÷0.15×60÷2 =A×200

Among them, (n1+n2)/2 is the average number of egg sacs per counting room, A

0.15 is the effective volume of each counting chamber, which is 0.15mL

60 is the total volume of feces, which is 60mL

The amount of feces used is 2g.
